Who Are We?

The Irish Network for Gender Equality in Computing (INGENIC) was founded by Dr. Susan McKeever (TU Dublin) and Dr. Catherine Mooney (UCD) in 2017. It was created to unite, coordinate, and boost efforts in addressing Gender Equality in Computing across all third-level institutions in Ireland.

Our Aims:

Increase Enrolment

of female-identifying students on third-level computing programmes

Improve Experiences

of female-identifying students in computing programmes

Assist Staff

to identify and develop methods of improving gender diversity and equality, in line with national and international recommendations

Collaborate

across Higher Education Institutes (HEI) to address and support INGENICs aims
